Launched in 1975, Thule 2 is a Dufour 34, one of the great hulls designed by French sailing pioneer Michel Dufour. Now with its third owner, it maintains its original configuration (including the mast), except for routine maintenance replacements and the engine, which was installed new in 2017. A distinctive feature, typical of Dufour designs of that era, is the keel bulb encapsulated within the hull rather than bolted on, as was already common in many contemporary boats.
