VèLite 2

The Baltic 33 – of which Vèlite 2 is the second of 42 produced – was born in 1975 in the wake of the Baltic 46, the very first hull of the shipyard and, for its time, particularly large for the market. Smaller (10.06 m), but still elegant for the era, the 33 is a more manageable hull, more ‘human-sized’, but still excellent both below the waterline and in the interiors. It’s a proper boat, a testament to the brilliant pen of the iconic designers behind its design, Cuthbertson & Cassian.
Vèlite 2, after being properly maintained and ‘pampered’ by its previous owner, passed into the hands of Nicola Filia in 2023, an artist and sculptor and previous owner of a Brigand 27 (CIMA), which he personally restored.

Iconic in its history remains the recent participation in the Rendez Vous organized by Baltic to celebrate 50 years of its history. Here, Vèlite 2 emerges as the ‘little gem’, not only the smallest Baltic among those present, but also the oldest, quickly becoming the focus of much attention, both from the Maxis and from Baltic management itself, who find in her, in her interiors and perfect maintenance, a true testament to the culture and history of the Shipyard. Here, she will also rank third in Class. Confirming its historical relevance, shortly after, she adds the Elegance award won at the Vela Cup in Cala dei Sardi, where she also ranks 2nd in class. Then, in 2024, in the Classic category, she wins the Regata dei Legionari 2024 in Portorotondo.
