Alpa

ALPA 12.70

Briefly put, the 12.70 stands out as a true gem. Designed by Sparkman & Stephens as a capable offshore racer, it was conceived for alpa as a small series of 15 hulls, 4 of which with a cleaner deck and reduced coachroof, a premise of S&S flush decks to come. Originally, it sported a rolling boom as well, later replaced by more conventional rigging solutions. Similar in size and nature to the Swan 43, the 12.70 stands out as one of the studio’s best designs of the late 60’s, making it an extremely sought after boat nowadays. Elegant, refined and praised for both quality and premium performances, it’s a true cult, a unique boat and a rare sight to see.
