Information pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree No. 30 June 2003 196

Pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, containing provisions on the protection of personal data, we wish to inform you that the personal data voluntarily provided by you to Panama Editore s.r.l. will be processed by the same, adopting appropriate measures to ensure security and confidentiality, in compliance with the aforementioned legislation.

Collection of information
1.1. This information notice concerns data collected through contractual forms – both paper and electronic – completed and signed to use the following services:
a. sending of the newspaper;
b. sending communications related to the subscription and its renewal;
c. sending of the newsletter;
d. buying and selling of books, DVDs, and literary material in general;
e. promotional initiatives on products and/or services of Panama Editore s.r.l.;
f. market research and statistical purposes.
Purpose and methods of data processing
2.1. Navigation data.
The computer systems responsible for the operation of this site and all Panama Editore sites automatically acquire, in their daily operation, some personal data that are implicitly transmitted in the use of web communication protocols. This is data that, if processed with data held by third parties, could identify users/visitors. These include, for example, IP addresses and domain names of computers used by users/visitors who connect to Panama Editore sites. This personal data is normally collected for statistical surveys, managed anonymously and used to facilitate navigation on this site and all Panama Editore sites
2.2. Cookies.
Panama Editore sites, like the rest of the market, use cookies, which are short strings of text that are sent from the site’s server to the browser of the site’s user/visitor and are automatically saved on the user/visitor’s PC. The main purpose of these cookies is to make site navigation more user-friendly, so it is recommended to configure your browser to accept them. Almost all browsers are set to accept cookies, however, the user/visitor can independently modify their browser configuration and block cookies (opt-out). It is necessary to know that in case of blocking cookies, the use of this site and all Panama Editore sites and the use of some services may be very limited or impossible, particularly for all services accessed through registration.
Cookies are then distinguished into “session” and “persistent”, the former once downloaded are then deleted when the browser is closed, the latter instead are stored on the user/visitor’s hard drive until their expiration.
Persistent cookies are used mainly to facilitate site navigation, to understand which sections of the site have generated a certain number of pages and users, and also for the delivery of advertising formats. In relation to the advertising messages of this site and all Panama Editore sites, like most competitor sites, it uses cookies generated by other sites to deliver advertising formats. These cookies can always be deactivated (opt-out) even when they are anonymous, i.e., they do not collect personal information that can lead to the identification of the user (e.g., the IP address). In this regard, it is emphasized that browser data possibly identified (personally identifiable information: PII) through a cookie cannot be traced back to the user and are not collected. Session cookies, on the other hand, are mainly used in the authentication, authorization, and navigation phases in services accessed through registration.

2.3. The collected data is processed exclusively for the following purposes:

a. to provide the services requested by customers;
b. to provide customer support;
c. to send any communications, including by e-mail, regarding new company initiatives;
d. to carry out statistical analyses, for the sole purpose of improving the service offer;
e. to comply with legal obligations.
2.4. The processing will be carried out both manually and with the aid of electronic or otherwise automated means, and includes, within the limits and conditions set by Article 11 of Legislative Decree 196/03, all operations, or set of operations, indicated in Art. 4 paragraph 1 letter a) Legislative Decree 196/03: collection, registration, organization,
conservation, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, cancellation and destruction of data.

Nature of Data Provision
3.1. The provision of personal data is optional.
However, failure to provide, even partially, the requested data will result in
the impossibility for the undersigned to proceed with the complete provision of the services offered.
Communication and dissemination of data
4.1. The personal data collected will not be subject to dissemination or communication to third parties, except in cases provided for by the information notice and/or by law and, in any case, in the manner permitted by it.
4.2. The data may be known to the data processors or persons in charge of processing appointed by our company, within the scope of their respective functions and in accordance with the instructions received, only for the achievement of the specific purposes indicated in this information notice.
