Young German Frers was working in the studio of the ‘senior’ designers Sparkman Stephens in New York when the Se.Ri.Gi Shipyard, which builds Solaris boats, requested a design for a 47-footer. The result, where Frers’ innovative touch is evident, is an unusual boat, characterized by a bizarre deckhouse that becomes its distinctive feature. The interiors are a masterpiece of cabinetry.
