Occasionally, the senior owner of the legendary Ligurian shipyard Sangermani, Cesare, would start designing boats. He usually built them in wood, but this time he sold the design of the Mania to a Piedmontese shipyard, Nordcantieri, and thus the fiberglass series was born. An elegant sloop with ample overhangs, it won a Giraglia race with Cesarino Sangermani at the helm in 1972.
