It’s an Alpa 11.50, the shipyard’s great success, in a smaller version. Alpa designed it drawing inspiration from Sparkman & Stephens’ drawings for the 11.50. Born in 1970, it is therefore influenced by the 1960s design with large overhangs, low freeboard, and reduced sail area. The result is a boat that favors medium to strong winds to ensure good sailing performance.
