The Koala 50 was born from a design by Robert Clark in 1973 and would become famous thanks to the CS&RB, the model modified by Doi and Franco Malingri to participate in the first Whitbread. They would finish eighth. Rigged as a Ketch, the Koala 50 is a solid and seaworthy boat, a true offshore performance-cruiser capable, as demonstrated, of taking its owners around the world.
