It’s the late ’70s, and the shipyard wants to demonstrate the quality of its hulls in the IOR Half Tonner segment as well. The Nicholson 303 is already a good hull, but more can be done. With Ron Holland, the Nicholson ½ Ton is born, a Half Tonner designed to dominate around the buoys, an objective it proves achievable. Small, agile, and fast, it was built in 28 units.
