There weren’t many American shipyards in the 1970s that produced series-built fiberglass boats of a certain quality. Among these was Ranger Yachts, which in 1972 entrusted the rising star of US yacht design, Gary Mull, to build the Ranger 37. It was a great success, with 100 units produced and a prestigious victory in the SORC regattas in Florida.
