An unusual story from heroic times for this boat that was born from a design by the Dutch Frans Maas as Standfast 36, then in Italy it became the Solaris 37 which, in the end, enlarged, became the Solaris 39. Famous because the well-known journalist Piero Ottone ran aground with his Solaris 39 in Morocco, as described in the book ‘Naufragio’ (Shipwreck). The boat is beautiful and well-built.
