The BC4 was produced starting from 1969 and for a few years by the Bianchi Cecchi shipyard in Cogoleto (Genoa) as a Class IV R.O.R.C. The specialized press of the time, after its victory at the Genoa winter regattas on its first outing, defined it as “the all-Italian answer to the French Arpege”. The hull is made of fiberglass and polyester resin laminate, the mast is aluminum, and the interiors are mahogany.
It was produced in two versions that differed in their interior layouts:
– the “dinette” layout with the galley along the right side of the central cabin and a table on the left side with two opposing sofas
– the “conventional” layout with the galley on the right of the entrance and a watch berth with a folding chart table on the left, and with two opposing berth-sofas in the central cabin with movable backrests that can form two raised berths.
In both versions, the fore cabin has two berths and is preceded by a bathroom on the left and a wardrobe on the right of the access corridor.
The Tricky is a “dinette” version that has a total of 6 berths, 2 in the bow, 2 in the center by lowering the dinette table, and 2 in the stern on either side of the entrance ladder.
