In the early 1980s, during the transition that would see Swan move from Sparkman Stephens to German Frers, a third great architect was the yard’s designer: Ron Holland. In 1981, he signed one of the major projects of this phase, the Swan 391, produced in 52 units in just 6 years. Elegant lines, a very clean deck, and a perfect marriage between Holland’s classic lines and Swan’s stylistic elements characterize the design, giving life to an often underestimated Cruiser Racer of admirable craftsmanship. A small forgotten jewel.
